College students in a climbing competition - Winners!

Congratulations to the forestry students!
Plumpton College Forestry and Arboriculture students competed in the 3ACT's College Climbing Competition held at Capel Manor College in London last weekend (20th-21st April) and won!
The students taking part are currently on the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Forestry and Arboriculture and Foundation Degree in Arboriculture.

Olympic Torch Route Published

The Olympic torch will pass through West Sussex to Brighton on the 16th July and will then travel through Crawley, East Grinstead, Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough on the 17th July before heading to Eastbourne and Hastings.

Overall the Olympic Torch will travel for over 8000 miles and will be carried by 8000 people before reaching the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.

University of Sussex is hosting a 2-day UCAS convention 21-22 March. 132 universities, colleges and higher education institutions are taking part, including Plumpton College.

This event is a great opportunity if you are thinking of entering Higher Education and you can find plenty of information about your specific interests.

If you are attending, you must book through the UCAS website. Click here to access. The UCAS link will also give you more information about how to prepare and ask the right questions.

Please note that this event is held during normal working hours and you should not miss College because of it. If you intend to go, please make sure you discuss this with you programme leader in advance and obtain relevant permission.
